I am writing to inquire and apply for an open instructor position in your school. I have plenty of experience with all ages and teaching different subjects so I would love to apply. I am currently located in Dongtan, South Korea.
I am currently working at an English academy in Korea, Chungdahm Learning English Academy, where I am teaching elementary and middle school kids. I graduated from Liberty University with a Teaching English as a Second Language Degree (TESL) and minors in both Chinese and Linguistics. Along with my degree, I have studied and worked with several different cultures through course work, traveling, work, and hosting foreign exchange students. Since my graduation, I have volunteered at my church to help tutor non-English speaking adults in conversational English. I was also a tutor at Huntington Learning Center where I tutored kids ages between 4 and 18. During my entire senior year in college I worked in a state-sponsored adult ESL program where I taught small groups of adults and personalized their lessons based upon individual needs and goals. In 2018, I also worked in an internship for 10 weeks in China teaching different groups of students ranging from pre-school age all the way through to high school students.
I hope to be able to work at an organization like yours because I enjoy helping people understand English and how to use the language effectively. I will share that passion with my students. Through my tutoring and past teaching experiences, I have worked with a wide variety of students with different needs and learning styles. I also would love to work with students that need help in other areas such as English Language Comprehension, or music and art. I have experience preparing lesson plans for different subjects such as history, literature, and art. I love branching out and using my English background to teach different subjects.
Your organization has a good reputation and serves the community well by providing and allowing students to learn in a safe and international environment. I believe I would fit in well with my unique skill set and experience with teaching students of different ages and needs.
