Language Summer Study & Tour Program Description of Activities
Tour of Mississauga Tour of the city in which Bronte College is located. Mississauga is one of the most beautiful, peaceful and clean cities in the Greater Toronto Area.
Square One Square One is Ontario's largest shopping center with 360 stores and services.
CN Tower The world's tallest building and Canada's
most recognizable landmark.
City Hall One of the most unique architectural buildings in Toronto, as well as the place of business of Mississauga's Mayor and the City's Councillors.
University of Toronto Toronto's own prestigious university with
a magnificent campus.
Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Game The Blue Jays are Toronto's own baseball team in Major League Baseball. Only two Canadian cities have teams in this league. The game is held in Toronto's own SkyDome, which is a spectacular site.
Sega Playdium A large indoor and outdoor amusement centre with video arcades, go karts, rock climbing, batting cages and other activities.
Movie Night Movie nights will be held at one of Mississauga's large complexes with large screens and big sound, or inside one of Bronte College's large lecture halls.
Ontario Place A cultural, leisure and entertainment parkland extending three man-made islands along Lake Ontario in Toronto. Games, carnival rides, water activities, 3-D movies and other activities are all part of the experience.
The Toronto Zoo Over 5000 animals representing over 400 species can be viewed at this indoor and outdoor extravaganza.
Tour of Niagara Falls The second largest waterfall in the world. The sight of the falls is amazing, and the 'Maid of the Mist' boat ride below the falls, brings you very close to this thunderous wonder of the world.
Fruit picking Picking fresh fruit from fruit farms is an experience that is both fun and tasty!
Canada's Wonderland This amusement park is over 330 acres of fun and excitement with numerous rides roller coasters, games and tasty food!
Karaoke Night Participants will be able to select songs and sing them with the background music of the original song but without the original singer's voice! This will be held in Bronte College.
Ontario Science Centre Over 800 fascinating, interactive science exhibits provide a fun way to learn about science.
Free Time Free time is planned for participants to use the computer facilities (internet), write letters or call parents and friends. Some rest time is available after a busy day as well as leisure time to play sports or games. Organized activities will also be planned.
Bowling A fun time playing the game of bowling - a very popular indoor sport in North America.
Outdoor Camp The outdoor camp will give participants an opportunity to experience the wilderness, have fun and learn survival skills. Activities will include outdoor games, swimming, nature hikes, camp fires, singing songs and much more. This outdoor camp will be held away from Bronte College in a recognized and supervised camping ground.
Sport's Camp Participants will enjoy playing various sports including basketball, soccer, football, frisbee throwing and much more.
Roller-skating Roller-skating simulates ice-skating in a large rink, with music.
BBQ Having great tasting barbequed food and outdoor activities is very filling and a lot of fun.
Graduation Ceremony At the end of the language study tour summer camp, participants are expected to have achieved a greater level of English (or French) than they originally started with. During the last few ESL/FSL classes, teachers will help students to prepare a demonstration (e.g. a play, song, etc.) to show their new knowledge of another language.
Ottawa/Montreal/Quebec City Tour for 3 days shows you the capital of Canada and two beautiful cities in the Province of Quebec. For students attending this tour there will be a later departure date and an additional cost of CAD $300. per person. A bus tour of Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City
