Hi. I'm Ashley Kim and it's my pleasure to introduce myself.
I live in Ansan city right now but I'm originally from Suwon city -the city of harmony- which is an hour away from Seoul. If you ask me what's so special about my hometown, I would like to say two things: The famous Galbi and Hwasong fortress.
I have a curious nature, which is the reason I came to learn English. It began with my interest in Western music, I really wanted to understand the words of those songs - so studied in English in my spare time. I then majored in English literature at Hanyang University, situated in the city I live now. During my time at University I took a gap year to Australia. I lived, worked and studied there and learned a lot about myself and Western culture too. This experience also effected on my English accent so it made lots of candidates thought I'm from Australia or at least staryed there. Oi Oi!
These days, I still enjoy learning new things. I am currently learning to play the violin and training to achieve my advanced scuba diving license. I love travelling and have had the opportunity to visit some countries such as, Germany, UK, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan and, as you know, Australia. My next travel destination is Philippines and I wish I can visit Maldives and Palau at some point in the future. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, dancing, cooking and looking after my two pet cats Nibbles and Daedoo(the big head).
